For Medellín’s 2017 Book and Culture Festival, I worked on two commissions: the illustrations and animation for Tom Sóyer, mucho culicagao, and the visual identity for Brazil’s guest-country programme. The book brought a literary classic into Medellín’s streets, in a free printed edition and an interactive app.

## Tom Sóyer in Medellín

Koleia Bungard adapted Mark Twain’s story to the streets of Medellín. I illustrated the printed edition and prepared the scenes in separate layers for animation in the app, which was available as a free download during the festival.

## At the festival

The 2017 festival drew around 450,000 visitors. That year’s Cuentico Amarillo, Tom Sóyer, mucho culicagao, was distributed free across Medellín in a run of 200,000 copies.

## Brazil, guest country

For Brazil’s guest-country programme, I designed a poster and a set of illustrated icons for the printed materials and festival space. The icons could be used individually or brought together in the programme’s graphic pieces.
