Human Rights - Amnesty International

2018 was the year when the Universal Declaration of Human Rights celebrated its 70th Birthday. It’s been 70 years since the world reacted to the atrocities of the Second World War and said, ‘enough is enough’, and collaborated to devise a set of rights to protect all of mankind, every individual, whatever their race, politics, gender, or sexuality. Remembering and protecting these rights is as relevant today as ever. From Governments,to activist organisations, to pressure groups, millions of people across the world use them(consciously or not) to continue to create the the kind of world where every man can decide who they are - and how they live, and where they live - without fear. One of the ways Amnesty International wanted to mark this 70th anniversary, was inviting five artists from all around the world to interpret the 30 articles of the declaration via illustrations.
