A Translating Body
Animation for an immersive museum installation
I designed the illustrations and animation for an immersive installation in Parque Explora’s Sala de la Mente in Medellín. Made for projections in a physical space, the work explores how the body interprets the world through its senses, with narration and sound accompanying the animated images.

In the museum
The animation was designed to be experienced inside the exhibition, rather than on a single screen. These photographs and recordings show the projected images, the room and its visitors.

The complete sequence
The full animation, with narration, music and sound design. Its panoramic composition was made for projection inside the room.
The body
Hands, figures, water and light introduce the body and its relationship to the world.
The senses
Patterns, currents and branching forms give visual shape to sensation.
The natural world
Plants, animals and landscapes connect the body to the living world around it.
Storyboard and visual studies
Early drawings explore how to show perception: a face assembled from sensory organs, a line becoming a wave, branching forms and moving bodies. The studies also test colour and composition across the wide projection format.
