Washington’s monuments, redrawn for the future of money

For Confusion Capital’s 2025 gathering on monetary stability in Washington, D.C., I led art direction, illustration and motion. The identity connected traditional U.S. institutions with the event’s question of how to build better money.

Concept

Washington’s architecture, drawn together with symbols of exchange and modular finance.

An illustrated identity

I combined the Capitol, Jefferson Building, Lincoln Memorial and Arlington Memorial Bridge with oak, hands and isometric cubes. The architectural drawing anchors the identity in Washington; the recurring symbols connect it to longevity, exchange and Reserve’s modular funds.

Stage, print and objects

The composition extends from the stage and printed pieces to objects and the installed photowall. The same linework and geometric vocabulary keep the applications connected at different scales. Hosted at the InterContinental Washington D.C. – The Wharf.
